My Dermaplaning Experience

Hello ladies and welcome back to my blog. If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed that I got a Dermaplaning Facial Facial done a couple of weeks ago, as I shared all about this facial on my Instagram stories. Aside from sharing on Instagram, I really wanted to write a blogpost about my experience so it's here for you guys to read, know more information about Dermaplaning and deeply explain my full on experience.

My aesthetician was the one who told me about this facial, recommending it to me as it could help me have clearer healthier skin and help with my makeup application. For those of you who don't know about Dermaplaning it is a facial treatment that removes the layers of dead skin off of your face by gently scraping the surface of your skin with a small scalpel (btw it does not hurt, you barely feel it). Everyone has dead skin cells all over their body (it's completely normal) so this facial is a unique way to remove them and leave your skin feeling smooth, glowy and helps in so many ways; because dead skin can cause wrinkles, pimples, uneven makeup application, dry skin and dullness this facial was created to help in those areas. Dermaplaning has actually been around for years but is now coming back in popularity.

My experience was amazing during and after the facial, my skin was feeling extremely dull and I really felt like I needed to do something since changing up my skincare routine wasn't helping. During this procedure the aesthetician applies a small amount of rubbing alcohol all of over your face in order to dry out your skin and then with the small scalpel they start to remove the dead skin and peach fuzz. After that, you receive a hydrating mask which will restore the hydration of your skin leaving your skin supple, super smooth, and glowy. I have combination skin and this facial really made my skin feel amazing, I loved the results and recommend to anyone who may have the same feelings about their skin as I did. After the facial I just let my skin breathe normally and didn't apply makeup until the next day; but you can wear makeup or go about your day as normal because your skin will be completely fine. After the second day I already applied makeup and my makeup went on so smoothly and my skin looked really clear and smooth. It has already been two weeks since the Dermaplaning facial and my skin still feels amazing.

Anyone who has interest in getting this treatment done at a professional location I recommend my aesthetician Dani Assis at Urban Spa located in Bethel, CT. You can schedule an appointment by sending them a direct message on Instagram.

I really hope you all enjoy today's blog post and learning more about my dermaplaning experience. Thank you so much for reading and until next time.

Xoxo, 😘
Viviane

  1. I'm so lazy when it comes to my skin/makeup that I do the bare minimum, ha ha. So I think this would be a great idea for me so my skin looks refreshed with nothing on and if I happen to wear more makeup than usual, all the better.
